I created this custom cake for a 15-year old's birthday. Her mom requested a zebra stripe pattern on the cake. The cake is covered in fondant. I used black fondant as a background on the bottom tier, and used white stripes. The middle tier is purple fondant with the girl's name handcarved out of fondant and painted with edible black glitter. The top tier is white fondant with black stripes. The stars are made out of fondant and dusted with black glitter. The numbers are made out of gumpaste and painted with edible purple and silver paint.

Our Cakes Throughout The Years: Halloween Birthday Cake

Hands down..this cake has become my favorite of all time. This is a Halloween-themed Birthday cake. The birthday girl ordered ghost cupcakes for her birthday, and we surprised her with a special birthday cake. The cake and cupcakes are decorated with buttercream. The knife and roses are made by hand out of gumpaste. The eerie blood is red piping gel.

Our Cakes Throughout the Years: Black and White Wedding

We created two black and white fondant covered cakes, a cupcake display, and a chocolate display for a wedding in October of 2009. The cakes were custom designed for the bride. The first cake was created with black fondant swags with black pearl drop center. The cake topper was placed on this particular cake. The black monogram cake topper was hand-carved out of gumpaste and decorated with edible black glitter. This cake topper was custom created for the couple. The second cake was decorated with black fondant swirls and black roses. The chocolates display featured: cookies and cream lollipops, pina colada jewels, raspberry jewels, milk chocolate monograms, peanut butter creams and nutella butter creams. We also created chocolate covered strawberries for the bride to present to her bridesmaids as a gift.

Our Cakes Throughout the Years: Blue Themed Wedding Cake
This cake was custom designed for a bride who wanted a blue wedding cake. The cake itself was marble cake with alternating layers of vanilla and chocolate buttercream filling. The cake was covered in a buttercream flavored fondant. We matched the color of the fondant to a swatch of the bridesmaids dresses. We placed black satin ribbon along the bottom of each tier, and placed large edible pearls on the sides of the cakes. The flowers on the top of the cake and cascading down it are real white colored gerbera daisies.
